Production Worker – Sewing ABVI-Goodwill has an opening for a Production Worker assigned to our Sewing Department. Per our contractual requirements, if hired for this position, individuals must be able to provide documentation of legal blindness. The position is responsible for preparing readiness of sewing machine, assembling materials, operating sewing machine and quality control of their own work. Sorts and places materials in storage area according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Packs finished goods into correct packages and boxes, and places finished goods in the designated area. Follows procedures, processes, and duties of the various jobs accurately. This position may shift from one job to another as needed outside sewing department and perform functions of the job assigned by supervisor. Experience in production sewing preferred, but not required. Individuals must be willing to learn and must be a team player. Must be able to interact and communicate appropriately and effectively with all levels of employees. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
