Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind is the largest employer of visually impaired individuals in North Texas. We have a new job opportunity for legally blind/severely visually impaired individuals. The job is located in Richardson, TX at a call center providing customer service for the tollway patrons. The pay will range from $10-12/hr plus full benefits including vacation, holiday, sick pay. JOB FUNCTION: Responsible for providing a wide range of customer service duties to customer. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Handle a large volume of customer phone calls in a timely efficient manner. Provide customer service by payments and updating customer information. • Input accurate information into the computer system. • Responsible for charging customer credit cards and providing appropriate paperwork to the customer as needed. • Maintain up-to-date customer records in database. • Handle confidential material in compliance with company policy. • Other duties as requested. REQUIREMENTS: • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required ; 2 years college education preferred (or equivalent job experience). • 3 years previous customer service experience is a plus. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Advanced computer skills (experience in JAWS or Zoomtext including Excel and Word is preferred). • Good organizational skills & attention to detail. • Good aptitude for 10 key and detailed record keeping practices. • Ability to work independently with sound judgment. • Pleasant phone demeanor • Willing to train This job summary does not imply that these are the only duties to be performed.
