As director of AFB's Web Operations department, Crista Earl oversees development of the continued expansion of AFB's web site (www.afb.org), which has received national acclaim from both the disability field and the general public.

Earl is a sport fanatic; she stays active running marathons and riding tandem bikes—often referred to as the bicycle built for two. She has also participated in several marathons including the ING New York City marathon, the Boston marathon, and others.

Prior to her current position, Earl was a Resource Specialist/National Technology Associate at AFB, responsible for evaluating assistive technology and working with software and hardware developers to improve accessibility of mainstream products. She also owns and runs the firm, CrissCross Technologies, which creates and distributes audio tutorials on Windows-based applications for users of screen-reading technology and develops and distributes games and educational software for people with visual impairments.

Previously, Earl was an instructor at the Baruch College Computer Center for Visually Impaired People, where she taught courses for users of assistive technology. Prior to that, she was employed by GW Micro, Inc., where she participated in product design and testing of screen-reading products.

Earl holds a B.A. from Indiana University, Fort Wayne.
