AFB and Verizon Unveil Poster and Materials Supporting the National Campaign for Literacy, Textbooks, Transcribers and TechnologyThe AFB and Verizon National Campaign for Literacy, Textbooks, Transcribers and Technology features spokesperson Erik Weihenmayer in public service announcements for television, radio and print, as well as in this poster. These materials were unveiled at the national launch event on October 3 in Washington, D.C. Under the campaign slogan, "Literacy lets you reach the summit of your dreams," the poster and materials invite Americans to join AFB, Verizon and Literacy Champion Erik Weihenmayer in support of a new college-level career that will improve literacy for America's blind and visually impaired schoolchildren. Erik's quote on the poster is a challenge to the public: "Literacy has helped me touched the top of the world. I want every blind or visually impaired child to have the same opportunity."
