In this story from award-winning author Lois Lowry, we hear more about Sam Krupnik who has to dress up for Future Job Day at school. Sam knows just the right job and his mom and sister help him create a memorable costume which he wears... and wears...and wears...long after his firefighter classmates have gone back to their blue jeans. With the encouragement of his teacher, Sam continues to teach his classmates about a zookeeper's responsibilities and in the process, he also learns what the job of a teacher really requires.
