This book is part of the Little House on the Prairie series. In 1881, Laura is growing up and wants to help earn money so her sister, Mary, who is blind, can go to college. Laura gets a job in town helping a seamstress but she also continues her schooling so she can achieve her personal goal of receiving a teaching certificate.
