LC Industries, a multi-site manufacturing, distribution, retail and E-Commerce company is seeking a Human Resources Director to join our team.


DESCRIPTION:

Directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the Human Resources function to include benefits and recruitment. Direct supervision of Human Resources Manager and HR Specialists. Occasional overnight travel required.


•Reviews and makes recommendations to CHRO regarding procedures and practices on HR matters.


•Oversees Benefits Specialists to ensure insurance coverage and HR transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, headcount and turnover are current and up to date.


•Develops and administers an effective recruitment & retention program.


•Assures that company employment, personnel and equal opportunity policies and procedures are in compliance with federal and state labor laws, including maintenance of the necessary files. (AAP, EEOC, OFCCP).


•Responsible for keeping company employee handbooks up-to-date and revised when necessary.


•Handles employee relations and problems including administering disciplinary actions up to suspension and termination.


•Prepares annual budget of HR operations to review with CHRO.


•Administers company performance appraisal program.


•Coordinates and/or conducts exit interviews to determine reason behind separation.


•Oversees the unemployment claims process.


•Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development


•Maintains InfinityHR and keeps current with HR technology resources.


•Participates on committees and special projects and delegates accordingly.


•Responsible for the AAP for all locations and presents to CHRO plans consistent with administration of affirmative action in all locations.


•Direct development and implementation of HIPAA policies, procedures and programs to comply with HIPAA regulations.


•Develop and direct a formal plan to attract, develop and deploy global talent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent communication skills required, computer literate and HRIS savvy. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. Professional Certification in HR. Demonstrated supervisory skills. Extensive knowledge of government regulations as related to human resources and labor laws. Compliance conscious and in tune with constant updates. Ability to focus on the day to day planning. Seven years’ experience in Human Resources and five year’s experience in a management position.
