Under minimal supervision be responsible for performing preventative maintenance PM’s on all equipment at STLB, complete job assignments in a timely manner demonstrating a sense of urgency when working in a production environment. Must be able troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and electronic equipment, ascertaining that all are in good operation and repair or replace parts to keep them at peak performance.

1.Assists supervisor to ensure facility and equipment are maintained in accordance with STLB Policies and Procedures.
2.Programs and safely modifies equipment to perform specific operations and accommodate operation by visually impaired workers
3.Maintains a spare parts log and tooling inventory
4.Knowledge of programmable Sewing machines.
5.Actively participates in safety goals of STLB and ensure all work is completed in compliance with organizations policies.
6.Performs preventive and scheduled maintenance on all production machinery and facility equipment and document all findings
7.Able to Weld & fabricate effectively
8.Able to do Carpentry & Plumbing repairs
9.Familiar with Computer PLC’s, and able to read & comprehend technical manuals and perform data entry.
10.Knowledge of HVAC equipment and VFD’s
11.Electrical Background with strong troubleshooting skills,and able to run conduit and terminate equipment, and read schematics.
12.Completes special projects as assigned and performs additional duties

1.Requires 4-year degree, or a 2 Year Trade School Education or a HS Diploma with 5 years related experience repairing, maintaining and servicing a variety of machinery
2.Previous experience with computerized machinery preferred; however, must have solid electrical, mechanical, welding and maintenance background
3.Must have the ability to effectively prioritize and complete job assignment
4.Must be able to work effectively, both independently and in teams.
5.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
6.Requires the ability to work overtime as needed, and work flexible hours
7.Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well, with effective communication, and interpersonal skills
8.Ability to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
9.Current state driver’s license and proof of insurability

Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time (8-10 hours) and to spend most of the work day moving within the facility; physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting, climbing, carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
