Senior Market Manager, Government

Overview: The Senior Market Manager, Government, is responsible for duties focused on closing opportunities and managing customers and potential customers within federal (USA) and state (Louisiana) government markets. This position is based in the Washington, DC, area, requiring travel as needed to accomplish the goals and objectives of the organization.

Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Develop and manage objectives to achieve strategic goals to diversify and maximize government markets revenue streams
2. Identify potential opportunities for LAB blind employment growth through collaboration with NIB Business Development, Channel Management, and other avenues
3. Support preparation of quotations, proposals, and presentations based on the prospect's requirements
4. Participate in developing marketing programs to effectively increase sales and market penetration
5. Participate in sales and marketing activities such as trade shows, conferences, training, and other events as necessary
6. Communicate and influence using a consultative approach with senior-level government procurement officials and others as needed to understand and identify opportunities
7. Leads efforts to provide accurate forecasting
8. Work closely with internal and external cross-functional teams
9. Collaborate with public policy colleagues to advocate at the federal and state levels in support of AbilityOne and State Use programs
10. Other duties as assigned

1. Master's degree (may be in-progress) in business-related field and minimum five years' experience relevant to this position's responsibilities
2. Must be available for evening and weekend work as job duties demand
3. Must be willing and able to travel overnight (up to 25%)
4. Excellent oral and written communications skills
5. If sighted, current driver's license and insurance
6. Ability to work with people who are blind and/or disabled
