Statement of Purpose

Responsible for the sale of NYSPS offerings and promote the mission to New York State and local government customers, through the telephone and other methods of technology. This includes lead generation, list management and customer relations. ‘

Qualifications

Education

BS/BA degree preferred from a regionally accredited university or college. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.

Training and Specialized Knowledge

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Experience

Three plus years of sales or procurement experience. Experience using a CRM tool a plus.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Customer/prospect contact list creation and management - generate leads, find proper contacts at customer locations
Telesales - calling prospective customers to sell and cross sell our offerings
Promote our mission and educate customers on our program and the laws governing it
Generate reports on activity and results
Send leads or potential appointments when necessary to the direct (outside) sales team
Email and mail marketing materials to prospective customers
Perform online market and customer research
Prepare and submit documents for solicitations, quotes
Assist in expediting orders/solving issues for their customers
Assist in any digital & social media marketing efforts
Communicate and engage with NYSPSP staff and our affiliated agencies on daily operations and organization initiatives.
Assist Business Development Director as needed
