Brief Description
The Bayside and Special Services Library is both an NLS subregional library for the blind and a branch public library. We serve all ages with books in a variety of formats, programs on a variety of topics, and answers to research questions. We also provide services through our web site.
Bayside and Special Services Library has large print and audio-recorded books available for general borrowing. A mobility scooter is available to those who have difficulty walking and standing. Scanners, magnifying and text-to-speech software are available in the computer lab. An audio loop system for persons with impaired hearing is available in the meeting space. Special Services Library serves eligible persons with impaired vision by mailing large print and recorded books and magazines.
Hours of operation: Mon.- Thurs. 10:00 AM-7:00 PM; Fri.- Sat. 10:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Services for Adults
- Computer Training/Assistive Technology
- Offers training in the use of assistive technology.
- Library Services
- Provides talking books, large-print books, and descriptive dvd's to blind and physically handicapped persons. Monthly programs and a montly book club.
- Services for Seniors
- Bayside and Special Services Library has large print and audio-recorded books available for general borrowing. A mobility scooter is available to those who have difficulty walking and standing.
