Brief Description

National Braille Press is a nonprofit braille printer and publisher offering braille books, tactile graphics, magazines, textbooks, tests, and embossing services.

Its mission is to provide continuing education to those who prepare braille, and to provide braille materials to persons who are visually impaired.

Hours of operation: Mon.-Fri. 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.

Staff description: 2 full-time, 3 part-time employees, 100 volunteers.
Geographic area served: International.
Publications: Tape Recording Manual, Tape Recording Lessons, Manual for Large-type Transcribing, NBA Bulletin (quarterly) available in print, braille, on disk and audio tape, workshop reprints pertaining to all advanced braille codes, tactile graphics, and computer-assisted transcription, catalogs of the braille collection of textbooks, music, general interest and technical tables.
