Services Offered

Services for Children

  • Community Outreach Programs
    • Create community awareness and education, legislative monitoring, and support where legal rights have been compromised.
  • Computer Training/Assistive Technology
    • Technology club for middle and high school students.
  • Early Intervention/Infant Services
    • Infant and Toddler services are provided at NBCF. During these sessions, families learn how to play with and enjoy their children by modeling activities done by licensed professionals. Activities include music, sensory playgroups, stories, verbal and motor development.
  • Education Services
    • Provide a two-track education path for blind and visually impaired children, birth through age 22.
  • Health
    • Coordinate health care providers including physicians, eye care professionals, and therapists, for referrals and consultations, creating a continuum of care that allows education professionals, parents, and health care professionals to work together.

  • Recreation Services
    • NBCF provides a variety of recreation classes and programs including: Scouting, Beep Baseball & Kickball, Adaptive Sports, Art, STEAM, Fun Friday's, and so much more.
  • Summer/Day Camps and After-school Programs
    • NBCF offers four weeks of Discovery Day Camp featuring hands-on activities, adaptive sports, field trips, and special leadership opportunities for the teens. Camp is held the week of Spring Break and three additional weeks in June each year.
  • Support for Parents
    • Provide each child and his/her family with one point of contact who can work with the family and the community to ensure that child has access to the information and resources they need to succeed.
