Services Offered

Services for Adults

  • Assessment
    • Performs screenings for seniors to determine problems with visual field or visual acuity.
  • Information and Referral
    • Provides referrals as necessary to appropriate vision specialist.
  • Low Vision Services
    • Offers low vision services.

Services for Children

  • Community Outreach Programs
    • Through our network of regional offices and volunteers, we strive to serve the greatest number of Texans through our delivery of services including vision screenings, eye examinations and/or eyeglasses, as well as educational materials.
  • Early Intervention/Infant Services
    • Photoscreening for children, from 6 months of age to three years, and special needs children. Free eye exams and eyeglasses, if screening so indicates.

      Does vision screening, using age-appropriate methods for all other age groups. This screening includes identification of eye disease as well as visual acuity. Free eye exams and eyeglasses are also available if needed and if qualifications

Services for Professionals

  • Professional Training
    • Training available in vision screening certification. Offers certification for adult/child vision screening and photoscreener.
