Brief Description

Southeastern Guide Dogs provides guide dogs to guide dogs for the visually impaired and service dogs for Veterans diagnosed with PTSD, in need of mobility or retrieval assistance, seizure response or hearing alert. ESAs are provided to qualified Veterans. Gold Star Family Dogs or provided to qualified families.

Hours of operation: Mon.-Fri. 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.

Number of staff: approx. 150
Geographic area served: Applicants from the continental United States are encouraged to apply.

Services for Adults

  • Dog Guide Training
    • Guide Dogs for the visually impaired, Service Dogs for Veterans that have been diagnosed with service-related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, mobility challenges, need retrieval, hearing loss and seizure response. ESAs provided to qualified Veterans. Gold Star Family dogs provided to qualified families.

Services for Children

  • Travel/Orientation and Mobility
    • Provide companion dogs for children 10-17 that are legally blind or will become legally blind as adults.
