I am the Acivity Director/Office Manager for an Assisted Living Facility. I am facing a dilema with my residents who are losing their sight and are forced to give up reading, something they truly enjoyed. Books on tape are expensive and I cannot afford them on my budget. I have purchased other books from rummage sales and those who can read put them to good use. But those with poor eyesight have no reading material. I hope you will consider them for free books on tape. Thank you very much.

I am a teacher at a residential treatment facility for students with emotional and some physical disablitites. Many of my students have extreamly low reading levels and two have mild sight impairments. Unfortunatly the resources at this particular school are difficult to come by so any books geared toward adolecence would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time,

I am a teacher in a low-economic neighborhood with many teenagers of low reading abilities. They would love to be able to read the same books other kids their ages are but can't. They also are also embarrased by their inability to read and refuse to carry around "baby" books and so miss out on the joys of reading altogether. It would be so cool for them to be able to read along as they listen to the books. It would also be wonderful to be able to offer recorded books to their parents, many of whom have also spent most of their lives unable to experience what most of us simply take for granted. Please contact me at email@example.com if you might be able to help me in this endeavor. Thanks!

Hi, my husband and I are looking for tapes his grandpa. He listens to books on tape now b/c he can't see anymore. He gets a few things from the library but they are constantly sending him things that he's not interested in. He likes old westerns, historical western stuff, things along that nature. If anyone has any ideas or tapes that they would like to pass along, please email me at email@example.com. Thanks a lot!!!

I am a caseworker and I have a new adult client who is blind. He is on a long waiting list for The Lighthouse, in the mean time, these books on tape will help him tremendously!
