My name is Lauren Milne. I am a Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington. We are studying how well smartphone games that make use of vibration and audio can be used by blind children to learn Braille. To this end, we are looking for participants in our study entitled, “Avenues to Learning Braille Using Smartphones”.
We are narrowing our research to children, ages 5-12, who are blind or have low vision and parents of a qualifying child.
If you are interested in participating in our study, “Avenues to Learning Braille Using Smartphones”, please contact me directly by phone at 505-220-5996 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org (Please note that I cannot guarantee the confidentiality of email.)
For more information about our applications, which use a technology called “V-Braille”, please visit our website, http://vbraille.cs.washington.edu, and click on the ‘Applications’ link.
