Description: This presentation will provide an overview of current wireless industry statistics, discuss CTIA’s view on why the mobile ecosystem produces results for people who are blind/low vision, and describe CTIA’s ongoing accessibility efforts, including AccessWireless.org.

Speakers: Mike Shebanek, Senior Director, Accessibility and Darren Burton, Yahoo Accessibility Specialist
Description: Yahoo will discuss going beyond productivity with their accessibility efforts. Presenters will demonstrate Yahoo's new Video Guide app on the iOS platform. Video Guide is a unique new app that lets you quickly find movies and TE shows playing on several different streaming services and stream them right on your phone.

Speakers: Yahoo: Larry Goldberg, Director of Accessible Media and Facebook: Jeff Weiland, Head of Accessibility
Description: Introducing the “TeachAccess” Initiative (formerly “Teaching Accessibility”). In spring 2015, a group of tech companies, academic institutions, and disability advocates launched a new initiative to create models for teaching and training higher ed students of technology about accessible design and development (www.teachaccess.org). This session will provide a summary of the initiative so far, as well as cover the targeted milestones for 2016.

Speaker: Anil Lewis, M.P.A., Executive Director, National Federation of the Blind Jernigan Institute
Description: The National Federation of the Blind continues to pioneer the field of accessibility with groundbreaking technology that empowers blind people to live the lives they want. This presentation will discuss KNFB Reader and NFB-NEWSLINE. It will also highlight work at NFB’s International Braille and Technology Center, where it houses over $2.5M of nonvisual access technology. The presentation also describes the role NFB plays in the development, design, and testing of innovative blindness and low vision technologies
