The Helen Keller Achievement Awards were established by AFB in 1994 to acknowledge extraordinary efforts and promote the achievements of individuals and organizations that have improved quality of life for all people with vision loss. Past awardees include business leaders from IBM, Cisco Systems, and Time Warner as well as giants from the performing arts including Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and Patty Duke (see sidebar for complete list of past recipients).
Proceeds from this stellar fundraising gala will enable the American Foundation for the Blind to continue to expand our vital programs and services. Your generous support is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

On June 17, 2014, AFB will bring together a group of more than 200 leaders from business, healthcare, and civil society to honor those whose work helps the millions of Americans living with vision loss and make AFB's work possible. Proceeds from this event will help us continue our mission to remove barriers, create solutions, and expand possibilities so that people with vision loss can achieve their full potential.
Honorees, chairs, and major supporters receive recognition in press releases and news articles circulated to influential business, financial, and entertainment news outlets as well as major mainstream publications and broadcasters across the U.S. Also, sponsoring organizations will be featured prominently in all AFB communication vehicles, including its annual report, newsletters, and website.
Leadership Levels of Sponsorship:
$50,000 — Benefactor — includes two ringside tables, cocktails and dinner for twenty guests, one full Gold Page Dinner Journal ad, event signage with logo, acknowledgement in all event materials including press releases, e-newsletters, and invitations, and sponsor logo with live link on AFB's website, plus twenty VIP gift bags
$25,000 — Underwriter — includes one prominent table, cocktails and dinner for ten guests, one full Silver Page Dinner Journal ad, event signage with logo, acknowledgement in all event materials including e-newsletters and sponsor logo with live link on AFB's website, plus ten gift bags
$10,000 — Patron — includes one table, cocktails and dinner for ten guests, full-page Dinner Journal ad, event signage, plus ten gift bags
$3,000 — Four VIP Guest Package — includes cocktails and dinner for four guests, acknowledgement on AFB's website and in the event Dinner Journal, plus four gift bags
$1,300 — Two Guests — includes cocktails and dinner for two, plus two gift bags
$650 — Single Guest Ticket — includes cocktails and dinner for one, plus a gift bag
In-Kind Gift Bag Sponsorship
This in-kind sponsorship will be awarded to up to three companies that donate high value gifts to the 250 guests that attend the 2014 AFB's Helen Keller Achievement Award gala. Gift Bag Sponsors will receive the following benefits: cocktails and dinner for two guests, full-page Dinner Journal ad, event signage, and acknowledgement on AFB's website (over $3,500 in value).
In-Kind Silent Auction Contributions
Companies and/or individuals that would like to make a donation to the Silent Auction will receive acknowledgement on AFB's website and at the HKAA event. Desired items include: one-of-a-kind experiences, getaways, spa packages, sporting events or concert/theater tickets, and restaurant gift certificates. Note: Auction donations made by April 1 will also be listed in the Dinner Journal.

AFB is a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent of the law. The non-tax-deductible portion of each dinner ticket is $165.
