Leadership Training: Introduction

This lesson series presents the self-advocacy and social skills necessary to become an effective leader. From the first lesson, students are provided with the reality that they can take the lead over the direction of their lives, developing the very skills needed to lead others in the workplace. Skills covered include:

  • Relating well to others
  • Creating a positive social environment by demonstrating respect and using appropriate humor.
  • Learning to make wise decisions
  • Delegating a workload
  • Setting achievable goals
  • Demonstrating confident speaking abilities
