Access for the Novice Computer User with a Visual Impairment

If you are a computer novice, fear not. In this part of the guide we will offer an overview of the many ways a computer can, through special software, be used by someone with a partial or complete visual impairment. We will discuss how to select the right personal computer for your lifestyle and needs, and talk a little bit about important differences between Microsoft Windows and Apple OS X, the two major operating systems for personal computers. By the end of Part I, you should have the information you need to purchase a computer with confidence.
