Online Courses and Webinars on Aging and Visual Impairment
With the increasing number of seniors experiencing vision loss due to age-related eye conditions, there is a growing need for trained professionals who can help seniors to maintain active and independent lives.
To meet this need, the American Foundation for the Blind eLearning Center offers an online self-paced curriculum with 21 standalone courses written by experts in aging and visual impairment. Courses are one or two hours in length.
The courses are designed for professionals new to the field of vision loss or aging and for professionals seeking to update their knowledge base. Continuing education credits are currently offered for ACVREP, CRCC, and AOTA. The online courses are supplemented by webinars relevant to the audience.
The courses are offered on an institutional subscription basis and are also available for purchase through the bookstore.
