Principles and Concepts for Information and Communication Technology Design


Abstract: HCI (human computer interaction) offers various methods for universal design of ICT (information and communication technology) for people with special requirements. These methods include design heuristics, detailed models based on task analysis, and complex psychological models of the user. This article presents an alternative: simplex theory, which works on two levels that guide good practice and support applied research.
