Measuring Psychosocial and Functional Outcomes of a Group Model of Vision Rehabilitation Services 1for Older Adults


Abstract: The Adaptive Skills Training (AST) program provides vision rehabilitation services to older adults using a group model of instruction, rather than traditional one-to-one training. This article describes the evaluation of psychosocial and functional outcomes of 395 persons who attended AST programs at five rehabilitation agencies in rural communities in New York State.
