Change in Visual Perceptual Detection Distances for Low Vision Travelers as a Result of Dynamic Visual Assessment and TrainingAbstract: This study evaluated the ability of a dynamic visual assessment and training protocol to improve the ability of 65 persons who were legally blind to detect environmental hazards. Training improved the ability of the majority of subjects to detect hazards, and the assessments identified those who did not need training or would not benefit from it.
