Umbilical Stem Cell treatment for O N H

My 19 month old ONH Blind grandson just had umbilical cord stem cell treatments in China.     If you would like to meet me, my grandson Cameron, Dawn the mother of Rylea, Rylea the little girl and Kirshner Ross-Vaden, she developed the umbilical cord stem cell treatment our children had In China. Join us on November 3rd, 2007 at Gilcrest Park in Punta Gorda, Florida. from 1:00pm to 3:pm.

    I've read your stories and- are they for real!! My daugher lexi is 8 and this is the first time I have felt hope that she may be able to have some vision!! Any information would be great and congratulations to your grandson!! This is amazing!! Heather Smith

    I read Rylea's article at work on Thursday and my heart stopped and through researching more, came across this message board. My son is 5 and has SOD/ONH. His vision has progressed a little over the years from barely being able to tell the difference between day and night to being able to see shadows and following them. I really want to learn more about the treatments in China. I am very scared to take that step, especially overseas without knowing EVERYTHING about it, where to go, how to sign up, what the risks and side effects are, etc. Once I gather all information regarding this, I would like to start a fund raiser to raise money for my son. I figure because he already has very good light perception that this may really improve his life but I am left feeling like this may take away from his pure innocense. Did you feel like that at all? I am a 25 year old single mother, I would appreciate ANY information or insight anyone could provide. I am so happy to hear about the successful results!

    My daughter is 20 months old and is blind in her left eye from ONH. This is the first time that I have had any hope at all. These stories are amazing and give hope to everyone with a child that suffers from ONH!

    my granddaughter is 1 yr old she has onh, she has light perception in both eyes, her right eye is better than the left. her Dr says she is a good canadate for the stem cell treatment in China. we are in the process of raising money to send her to China, If anybody out there knows of some good fundraisers let us know has own web sight if you would like to check it out. www.helpkenideeseehiscreations.com

    Hello,

    I have a 6 year old with CVI. My son is great, his vision has improved a bit, he has light perception and is able to see(not distinguish) objects. He is very good with his peripheral vision. I have been reading allot of information on the Stem Cell reseach done in China, and i think this will really benefit my son in improving his life. Does anyone have an idea on how to start a fundraiser?

    please tell me how this works..from what I know of stem cells, I do not understand how this is possible. I have a son with ONH.

    Hi, I am very curiius about this, I was told my 6 month old daughter had ONH and nothing can be done right now... At the VEP test she responded 20/260 which is a sign for some light perception, I have no seen any responses at home... I have being reading about this treatment and i seen articles where this is trated as a scam... Does this really work.? Did you need an oxugen chamber treatnent at home ? (BBC news reported a child that needed it). DId you feel like your kids where lab mice?

    My nephew has CVI and Cerebral Palsey.. Does Stem Cell treatment work for these conditions? Are there any websites with really good information to study? What is the cost of this treatment? We are very interested in learning more if this can be benificial for us.
