i have a Lazy Eye

Posted by J79 on 2/22/2005 2:02:18 PM.

is there anyone else out there experiencing the same trauma and drama that i go through on a daily basis. At 26 years old, i still find it hard to directly look at people in the eye anymore b/c i'm afraid they are going to mention something about my eyes.

When i was a kid, i would just joke about it. But now this is just ridiculous, b/c no one else in my family has it and i just wonder why i had to be blessed with this silly crooked eye, that makes me look like a crazy kook.

i am in school to be a teacher and kids are always coming up to me asking what's wrong with my eye and i am just at a lost for words as to what i should say anymore.

i think i am more inclined just to live my life as a recluse then to live my life surrounded in the world of the normal. this condition is embarrassing, and i HATE it. i wish, i could afford to get it corrected, but i just can't right now and it sucks.
