Nemeth Braille best time to introduce?

Posted by bobkee on 2/11/2007 11:24:31 AM.

Hello all - I am in the midst of a Nemeth Braille course at Dominican College with Dr. Sheila Amato. She has posed the question to us regarding "best practice" for when to introduce the Nemeth code to a beginning braille student in elementary school. Given the broad range of experience of JVBI readers, I decided to ask for advice based from any of you who may be TVI's. Thank you - Bob Keenan (budding TVI)
