"Cannibalism is Alive and Well" says Dr. Susan Jay Spungin

Posted by on 2/12/2003 12:14:46 PM.

In the February 2003 Journal of Visual Impairment & Blindness (JVIB) Dr. Susan Jay Spungin suggests that the blindness field is "biting off its nose to spite its face" when it comes to a number of important issues and service delivery models: itinerant teaching, paraprofessionals, residential schools, university programs, the braille code, and relationships between professional and consumer groups. Join the author, whose comments appear in the JVIB column Speaker's Corner, in an online discussion on these and other topics.
