Looking for a Mentor for my Intel Project

Posted by mijaved on 4/16/2008 10:35:45 PM.

Hello. My name is Muhammad Javed. I am a visually impaired New York City high school student. I am currently working on a project for the Social Science Intel Science Talent Search (ISTS) competition. This is a prestigious national competition in which high school juniors are to work on a preject, write a Master-level paper and submit it for a chance to win awards, scholarships and recognition.
In my project I am examining how vision (categorized as perfect vision, low vision and no vision) impacts an individual's self-concept. I'd very much appreciate if someone, who has a backgroudn in research in the fiedl of visual impairment and blindness, may contact me if they are willing to help me as a mentor. My e-mail is itlalj@aol.com. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you.
