The Journal of Visual Impairment & Blindness (JVIB) invites readers to salute Susan Jay Spungin, vice president for International Programs and Special Projects at the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB), and treasurer of the World Blind Union (WBU), upon her retirement after 36 years at AFB. Over the course of her 44-year career, Susan Spungin's name became synonymous with leadership. How has Dr. Spungin's work touched or influenced your career?
