Posted by jackmarchetti on 6/9/2012 at 1:38 AMThere are no cures, yet. I'm confident within ten years they'll have made progress. Stem cell therapy along with gene therapy looks promising, but again, it's a long way out. I'm hopeful.
Read up on or watch some youtube videos with Dr. Henry Klassen - he seems to be on the right track.

Posted by Harold T on 2/17/2013 at 1:22 AMThere are currently a few programs around the country studying the effects of stem cell regneration of rods and cones. It is still completely experimental, mostly in swine and mice, but the fact that money is there for these studies, gives hope that eventually, AMD and others willl be correctable.
