BlueGrind.com - A site for news in audio format for the Blind

(Audio of this article can be found at http://www.bluegrind.com/a48285/afb)
We have developed a site that will help the Blind and Visually impaired read news from Yahoo News, and we are soon adding blogs, newspapers like Pasadena Star News, and others (We are trying to get the L.A. Times). Our site is called www.BlueGrind.com .
It is a free service, and when you get to www.BlueGrind.com it announces, "If you are visually impaired, press 1 now". This will take you to the section of the site devoted to the visually impaired. The navigation is completely in audio. It even reads the titles and lets the person choose an article to read, and once the article is chosen, it reads the article.
I would like to get the word out so we can put a little bit of light in a blind person's life. Let us know how we can help further, or what modifications would you like to see. We are still developing and enhancing it, and your feedback would be considered quite valuable.

Posted by dafarian on 5/19/2007 at 9:25 PMHi,
Our service is web based, hence, it will work from anywhere. At this stage it is only available in English. We have purposefully made it web based, so that visually challenged users have access to it even when they are out on the road and they don't have their equipment with them.
I hope this answered your qustion. We would like to hear from you or anyone else that could suggest anything that we can implement to enhance the service.

Posted by dafarian on 6/15/2007 at 3:52 AMWhat do you exactly want to find in the Phillipines? News in tagalog? The BlueGrind.com is only available in English for now, we are working on making it available in Spanish and German next.
What we do is convert text to Podcast and make it more convenient for the user, specially if the user is blind. With Bluegrind.com, the user doesn't need special screen reading equipment, all he/she needs is a browser that can handle flash or WindowsMedia player (Or any player that plays MP3 files really), and an Internet connection.
I hope this answers your questions about the service we offer at http://www.BlueGrind.com, if you have a specific question, please ask and I will try to answer.
Thank you,
Diran Afarian
