How do I potty train my blind son?

I have a 5 yr. old son who I am desperately trying to potty train. We sit him on toliet and he just sits there. I really don't know if he understands yet. And he does not speak yet. Please help

I have a 4 yr old nephew who has also not been potty trained. He also doesnt speak in converstaions, he does however repeat what we say and says words just to get his point across. I seem to be the only one worried, I thought he should have been trained at the age you train any kid. When I do take care of him I sit him onthe potty but as soon as he gets up he does it in his pants.
