how do the blind stay organized?

I'm a blind 19 year old blind male. My name is Jordan xXavier. I just wanted to know how do the blind organize their desks, and most important how do the blind knowwhat has just been printed, and what subject that belongs in.

Organization skills

Hi Jordan...students usually have a plastic desk organizer in their desks. You can get one of these at andy store that sells organizers of any kind. It should haveseparate spaces for your stylus, braille paper, and anything else that you would like to keep in your desk. You should have a vision teacher teacher to help you with these skills

Hi, Jordan. I'm a blind person and if you asked friends of mine how I stay organized they probably will tell you that I don't. For reading stray papers I use my scanner to tell me what text is printed on them. I'm a computer teacher and I often use technological solutions to help me to stay organized. My scanner is used to read books and papers and I use notetakers to record such things as phone numbers and appointments. For keeping track of appointments I highly recommend the Voice Mate, which is best described as a digital recorder on steroids. It allows you to program appointments and the machine will go off at specific times and dates to remind you of things you need to do. It sells for about $249 and can be purchased from blindness-oriented places like ann Morris and Phil Scovell.

Most blind people now of days use braille notetaker to help keep themselves organized. There are a list of companies that supplies braille or non- braille notetaker.

Hi Jordan, my name is David Hoppman. I am 30 years old and blind since birth. To keep myself organized I use my Braille 'n Speak to write notes and keep my e-mail addresses in order plus I just try to put things back where I got them so it is easy to find them.
