Re:HELP ME HELP MY FRIEND

It's difficult to help you find resources for her since you didn't say where she lives. She will probably find more resources of all kinds where you are in the city. There is a lot of information on AFB's website, www.afb.org. you both might find the links on the home page to Living With Vision Loss and Friends and Family particularly helpful. Farther down on the home page is a box that says Find Helpful Services. Click on the red button and you will come to a screen that will help you search for various services for the blind and visually impaired. This will not include doctors, but some of the organizations listed may be able to steer you to someone who can help you to find one.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Perhaps you can check out a book called Your Child Without Glasses by Janet Goodrich. She claims to be able to help people recover normal sight even with severe astigmatism cases. Hope the book helps. Good luck pal.

Start off by seeing an eye doctor.
