Are there agencies or organizations that can provide assistive technology and computers at no cost to elderly legally blind persons?

A possible source
Posted by ej on 4/6/2001 at 8:17 AMCheck with your state commission for the blind (or state vocational rehab if there is not a commission for the blind in your state). You may also want to check with local companies. I recently helped a bank get rid of dozens of functioning Pentium computers (they were donated to a local church).
Free computers for VI senior citizens
Posted by JenniFASOLLA on 5/18/2001 at 9:19 PMWhen I was in considerably worse shape financially a few years ago, I was able to acquire a computer through a local chapter of the Lions Club. You may want to try doing this. Another idea: Find out what's available through your community's senior center or council on aging. Good luck!

Please Help Me!
I am creating a resource directory for the blind by the blind and I need your help!
Please go to your US state and suggest any sites from your area that benefit the blind, in some way.
Thanks - Donald The Blind Webmaster
