Seeking A Foundation that gives away Free Grant Money for the blind and visually impaired

Hi.

I am a totally blind person who is trying to purchase a PacMate BX 400 with a 40 braille display. from Freedom Scientific. I don't really want to pay the 5,000 and some dollars.

I heard that there is a way that I can get free grant money for the blind and visually impaired. Could any of you out there, tell me where I can get more infor on how I can go about this?

I am currently working with, caring for a 5 year old boy who is completely blind with some physical and mental impairments. I also would like to find out more about programs that give access to the blind to increase their abilities and strengths for independence with little or no cost.
Any suggestions.

Money for equipment used by blind and visually impaired

You may want to contact charitable folks such as churches or Lions International. Many states also have loan programs for such equipment.

I put together a resource page that starts with regionally specific items (which may give you ideas as where to look locally)

then farther down grant and assistance links by state and the 4 or 5? national grants

how do I post a new topic? the answer's probably right under my nose but I can't see a way to post a new topic would like to share my reseach on the known 30 hand held cctv magnifiers i put together

I hope that those who need those grants could easily find a variety of organizations that would help them. It reminded me that I should read more information about bee propolis http://beepollenbenefits.net/category/bee-propolis... now that I have pain in my throat for a couple of weeks and I read somewhere that it's much better than the zi xiu tang bee pollen capsules http://beepollenbenefits.net/zi-xiu-tang-bee-polle... that can be used for a totally different purpose. I am also interested to know about some way that I can get some grant to help the blind children where I am working!! It will be such a blessing for them if they get some help which will help them to have some independence and gain confidence in themselves!! I’ll definitely try my luck with the links here and hope something will materialize!! Can’t tell you what a blessing it’ll be if it works!!

I'm at present working with, caring for a five year outdated boy that is absolutely blind with a few physical and mental impairments. I also would like to find out additional about products that provide entry to the blind to increase their abilities and strengths for independence with minimal or no value. Any ideas.
