aaaaaaaaaaaaa!

arg i'm so anoyed right now. the conformer in my eye socket doesn't fit me very well and it's driving me up a wall. it doesn't help that my eyelids are stitched shut so i can't take the thing out to spash it with a hammer. well, i wouldn't actually do something like that, obviously. the reason (there are two) that the thing doesn't fit is this. 1, my eye was too big, and the implant the doc braught in to the O.R. was the size he thought my eyes were, and 2, the conformer isn't a costom made prosthetic, just one of three sizes. i wish i could get the perminant prosthetic sooner then two months, because i think i'm going to go ensane. anyways, what's everyone else up to?

Posted by Joe S on 12/27/2010 at 11:26 AMI am so sorry, my friends have gone through that situation. It was somethng had to get used to for a while, but once they got the right prosthetic, made a big difference. They got used to it after a while though.
Sounds stupid, but I really am proud of how you are handling all of this. I feel as I know you from posting on here. Keep the great attitude you have. I will ask some friends about their thoughts.
We are all here for you and willing to listen!

Posted by Chlorine17 on 12/27/2010 at 6:48 PMi'm gonna need luck, i looked at both the ocularists' websights in portland and i'm getting the ultimate quack factor vibe. they're just unprofessional and vague. oh my god! i actually spelled that right!
well, you guys pretty much do know me, i'm fairly open, which is good or bad depending on how you look at it. i would aprishiate it if you'd ask your friends, i could use some advice from people who have gon through the same situation. eventually, i hope that i can be of help to others too. :)

Posted by Thrill Monster on 12/30/2010 at 12:34 AMHow come you're excited? Will it make you see better?
Re:aaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Posted by Chlorine17 on 12/30/2010 at 1:47 AMhardly, they're taking my other eye out. i'm excited because my eyes have been in unfixable intollerable pain for months and since they took the left one out, it's stopped. in a month i will be able to get on with my life. by the way, i found out my surgery date, it's 1-25-11.
