Am just wondering for you folks who have dated sighted people how you connect or how they have accepted your blindness or how you dealt with it.

Well, you know I dated a sighted person but this person had a best friend who was disabled and was partially disabled himself so he accepted me very well. i say, if they love you they'ol accept you. plus, all my best friends are sighted and they are so used to helping me and being around me that they forget I'm blind and it's all second nature.

I have dated a sighted person before and it was great. He accepted me for who I was because he loved me. And I have also date blind people before. Dating is exciting. Sarah

I'm dating a guy who's blind. Its no different from when he could, only he can't drive... But he still goes shopping with me and what's funny is when he wants to come with me when i go into the ladies changing rooms - u should see everyone's look. Lol

Hahaha I'm a dork I just saw this post and found it hilarious! You should see when I am walking with my sighted girls, I've been called a lesbian *not that there's anything wrong with lesbians* but I thought it was funny that they assume. I have also been asked if my brother was my boyfriend too many times to count.

Hmm I don't know, maybe because I haven't been inspired. No one really talks on here and that sucks.. I love to post, my randomness just spills out.
Easter was cool, very mellow, full of food, junk, and kids with stinky boiled eggs screaming: "Auntie I want the money eggs!!!!" Ugh yeah, just pass me the chocolate cake!

Anyway, my easter was really boring, i wanted to go home for the holidays. I'm at university in South Africa but my home is in Zimbabwe.

I went out with the man on Saturday night, we just hit the club and danced all night practically, that was hectic and the highlight of my holiday.

That's so awesome that you got to at least do that. All I did was have drama with the ex boyfriend, spend time with my best friend, and deal with kids.
So you live in south Africa? That's awesome. I live in California and i go to a university too. Yes, we need more space for people to start communicating, it's fun. I have a facebook but it's so darn frustrating to use with my JAWS software. I prefer my myspace.

yeah i think more people should talk on here. i have facebook with jaws and i really like it. i use it all the time. but i hate that they keep changing it so much. i have never used myspace but i am told by many people that they do not like it. that is interesting how some people prefer one over the other. tiffany

Hey, I am a 26 years old partially blind social entrepreneur borned in africa, but currently on studies in India for up to December this year.

It's kind of weird i actually dating a hard of hearing boy and several average people i guess you would say. anywho it was just hard from them to get use to what i needed
