I live for God

I want to give God all of the glory for saving my life. being visually impaired life is sometimes hard but I must say that God has kept me through it.
Those who believe in Jesus Christ will be kept under God's watch God has never left me.

Posted by Shan on 7/6/2009 at 2:00 AMAbsolutely! Even though I've suffered a lot over these years because I'm visually impaired, I'm not at all angry with God for giving me low vision.
Sometimes I swear I feel a hand on my shoulder. I often have to remind myself (or have God do so) that He's faithful and will never leave, no matter where I go, no matter what I do, no matter what happens.

Posted by Gabrob on 7/12/2009 at 1:34 PMThis reminded me of a scripture from the bible when Jesus Crist saw the blind man he said that the man was blind so that other people could see the glory of God through him, and then healed him and made him see. My son just turned nine on June 28th, and has ROP he just recently lost his whole vision due to a surgery gone bad but he is coping with it. 2 Timothy 1:7 says "For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but the spirit of power, and of love and of a sound mind. God Bless you all, Amen

Posted by Shan on 7/14/2009 at 5:15 AMI remember those stories. I like them. I'd probably stutter like Moses upon Jesus asking me what I want Him to do, because I'd be nervous. I know He wouldn't hurt me, but I'd probably still be nervous.
Remember, Jesus loves us all. The Cross is proof.
I hate when I start sounding like a preacher - mostly because I think I'm bad at it.

He was involved in a bad car accident.
Doctors said that he'd either be a vegetable, or dead.
He's not a vegetable, but has become severely disabled; having little use of his arms and legs. He also lost the ability to speak, so he uses a voice synthesizer. Some time later on, a Young Life leader spoke to him about what the doctors said and how he turned out.
It took him about ten minutes to write his response.
"They don't know how big my God is."

The rapture is when the Lord Jesus Christ brings the church, those who believe in Him, to Heaven
He will call us with a trumpet the dead in Christ will go first
then those who are alive will be taden to Heaven next.
We will be changed into a glorified body and be with God forever.
Here is a verse
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.
-1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

I wanted to comment on an earlier posting that said that people think we blind people are being punished for something we did against god.
Unfortunately, my ex step mother told my dad that I was born blind because he was a cheater and unfaithful and that i was his punishment.
At first that hurt me but then i realized it may just be people's ignorance speaking. Jesus loves us all and to say that should be a sin in itself.

I'm not entirely sure if He would take the things away from you. He has given us free will. He isn't forcing us to love Him. It delights Him if we do choose to love Him.
Put some time aside each day (around ten minutes) to have some quiet time of prayer between you and God. He wants us to talk with Him and He wants to talk to us, but we must make the time to listen to what He has to say.
