I use JAWS now in stead of Window Eyes. Not sure I told you guys that yet. Anyway, it's a heck of a lot better than Window Eyes.
Anyway, I like being on here. I can relate to you guys and you guys are nice.

I find Jaws very hard to use because I have never been taught. I love being on here because this site is set up for my braillenote.

sarah, the BN is limiting in what it can do. Ask your teachers at school to teach you jaws; it will open many doors and give you more freedom

Paulina since you are in high school ask your VI teachers how you can get jaws on your home computer.

Isn't that why you went to the school for the blind? They can teach you or send a representative to teach you. ask your vi teacher.

The school for the blind isn't all about technology, I only did it for a half hour a day for 4 days so I didn't learn enough to go on the internet, and my computer is broke.

The inside part of the phone does have a keyboard and the outside is like a regular phone. It reads texts, contacts, let's you add contacts, edit them, check missed calls, phone status, and lots more that I haven't tinkered with.

it reads all that? Mine reads the contact list, recent calls, and caller id curious if yours does more

It's about two months old cuz I got this phone two days after it came out. No baby book but none of my electronics have one and if I start one now for the cellie, the others will get jealous lol.

For my braillenote, I don't have to use any cords to get online, I can do it from anywhere in the house. It is pretty cool.

My braille note is five years old and doesn't work, doubt I could ever get wireless internet haha.

I think what mimi means to say is she doesn't want to fix her braille note cause she doesn't like it as much as the computer and doesn't want to spend the money on the braille note. Is that a quick and accurate summary mimi?
I've heard that the braille note isn't completely up to date with things. Like I've heard the newer microsoft word 2007 documents aren't supported by the braille note.

Yeah, Aiming, you are right. The BrailleNote doesn't update with things at all. I cand even do instant messaging or email.

you can still call me aiming mimi, rockstar is just one of my nicknames at the college. People tend to start calling me things and then it sticks and spreads to others so I have several none of which were chosen by me. who really needs their ego inflated anyway?

Hahaha that's cute! well I have "diva" from a few friends, "hollywood" from my mom's friend, "KK" from another group of friends, "Mimi" from family and some friends, "princess" from another group of friends, "sis" from yet another group of friends, "tt" from my nephew, and loads of others. why people nickname me is beyond me but i have tons. Sometimes I forget my actual name lol.

ya, I also have tons of them. I won't repeat them all cause some involve my name. But as mimi knows, I'm in a small town, and my small college is a place where everyone knows everyone and is kind of family or really friendly like. I've taken at one class from most of the professors. There are times when my real name isn't even used cause of the silly ones ppl give me.
Actually, you think that is cute mimi, people have caught on to that and it seems to be a sensation.
One of my friends started telling me that I was reminding her of scoubee du last sem. So I don't know if scoube du, luke skywalker, rockstar, or whats the best of them all. Or maybe my gangstir one is the best.

Did you know fire fox and jaws have a command that is called insert F. seven. I am using fire fox right now. It is a web browser. The command that i just told you, takes you to the links list. I like that. It is more faster and easier.
