I've been absent for a few days and have noticed some of the sad and hurtful postings people are posting about how they have been treated or how weird things have happened to them.
I for one have had bad things happen but they are so few and far between. On my post, can we talk about positive ways people have treated us or positive things we have done for others to educate them about our vision issues?

I had a lot of fun and made a lot of new friends at camp. I even got a thrill sa"eker award because I was so daring at camp and got to go rmck climbing. And I rode Dropout at Raging Waters today.

Posted by BroadwayBaby310 on 8/22/2009 at 1:43 PMIf any of you guys are Facebook members, there's a group that I created (actually for my boyfriend who is blind, but he was having trouble creating a page for it) called "Optimistic Blinds Unite" because he's sick of how negative the blind community is. Other not so negative blinds (or their sighted friends who do not ask stupid questions like "Can you see in the rain like Daredevil" haha-- my boyfriend actually got that question) should join! we only currently have 5 members but if we can get more we could actually be kinda an active group!
