Let's do this for ourselves...

Okay guys this is a little like my no negativity post. I see that in almost every post people are upset because they are being treated badly by sighted people in or out of school. come on guys, not all people are like that. call me naive but i have faith in the world still after all i've been through.
what I would ask everyone to do is name at least one person who has been nice to you or who has changed your life in some way. this person cannot have a disability. Let's show sighted people who see our postings that we have respect for them and want them to have respect for us.

In college I met a girl in my speech class when we had to be paired up in partners. for the rest of the semester we would so happen to work together and make each other laugh constantly. over the summer i needed to take a geology class that had a lab so i needed an assistant. this girl was in my class and needed a job so she applied and got it. After that we worked together every semester until we graduated together from the community college. We are now best friends and have been so for almost three years. what's your good story?

I'll go next:
In fifth grade, I met a very willing girl named Bailey who was willing to help me every step of the way. I was really thankful, because, at school, I really didn't have many friends that year, but no friends the year before. Thank you Bailey!

I've met a lot of great sighted people. I met my best friend Stephani like 5 years ago, I met a really nice girl named Vivian when I was in middle school, and my first best friend Sabrina when I was 8. We have lost contact and we harda= talk anymore. The best friend I talk to all the time is Stephani. We go everywhere together.

I've got another, my friend Josh and I met this year. He is my friend Monica's fiancee. He is totally awesome and a new member to my group of other sighted friends that i've known since high school. there is a total of seven of us that hang out in that group and when I go home from school I love to hang out with them.

just one person...man that's gonna be hard. But here we are.
I guess I would have to say my friend Sue. I meet her a couple years ago at my college, and we've had several classes together and talk with each other a lot. We are kind on the same page for math, what I don't get she gets and knows how to explain it to me, and what she doesn't get I will sometimes get. We usually have the same issues in math and don't understand similar things. The last couple sems we have become very good friends almost talking on a daily basis when we see each other and discussing our classes and lives. Plus it helped in our study group last sem, we would sit around and laugh to help deal with our headakes over math. She's always encouraged me to keep going and do what I can, and I do the same for her even though right now she is being rebelious against school.
there are many other people, but we could be here all day, and them not having a disability is going to be hard to narrow down too cause I know many people with other disabilities other than visual.

That's so awesome! My best friend is so fun. Most people who aren't my best friends, like the people who have pretended to be my friends wouldn't care if I got hurt or anything. My best friend is worried about me bungee jumping. That's how I know she is my real best friend because she doesn't want me to get hurt. And we have a lot in common we love doing the same things.
