what do you think of blind teachers?

I was posing this subject to invoke a debate on what you the youth think of a blind teacher in a public high school or blind school. I'm going to be a teacher in the future and was just curious on what you thought about it. I use a cane and use window-eyes. Thanks for all advice and opinions given about this post.

Posted by Music fan24 on 10/27/2009 at 7:59 PMHello, to anwser your question i think that teaching in a blind school will be easier for you because you have people that can relate to your situation and i think it could be easier to navigate because they may have things for staff and students where as in a public high school it might be harder to find things like classrooms, certain buildings, and other but it is all up to you your welcome

Posted by savvysoulfulmimi on 10/28/2009 at 5:54 PMHello. I have taught blind individuals before and i plan on being a teacher in psychology in the future but i plan on teaching at a university where the students may be more mature and it would be easier to gain their respect.
