Angry at my Screen Reader

So I was working on my laptop and all of the sudden it turns off because I ran out of battery. Why couldn't my screen reader have let me know so I did not loose my work!!! Ah I am ready to throw microsoft max out the window!

You can change settings on both NVDA and JAWS to read or not read punctuation. I think it is annoying so i tell it not to.

But... that's why rehabilitation for the blind, and using the ida clause to tell your district what you need is so very important.

Posted by ila.nicole.white@com on 2/4/2010 at 12:29 PMWell, beb there, done that. I have been frustrated with screen readers. I mean, I have no issue with JFW, Window Eyes, oir both of those. I don't have an issue with System access To go. I have o experience with any of those other screen readers.

NVDA reads them perfectly, especially with the Greek voice of e-speak.
Yes folks, they were a few Greek letters, like Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon and so forth.
