Sick of life.
Posted by Thrill Monster on 10/4/2010 at 2:57 PM
I'm so sick of life, I wanna die. I feel like a depressed zombie and every day is the same and it's like living the same day over and over. I have trouble getting out of bed.

I hate life too.
Re:Sick of life.Posted by zumer7 on 10/4/2010 at 8:12 PM
I remember times when I felt like that, my biggest comfort was music or sleep, this one time about two years ago I would wake up screaming, and blunder around the house like a madman.
You just have to keep on keeping on, and hope for the best.
I don't know if it is the case for you, but if it is something in particular

The only thing that makes me feel happy is amusement parks but I live 2 hours away from Six Flags.

What else do you like besides amusement parks, Like something easier to do.

How often do you go if you live 5 minutes away? Lucky!!!!!! I don't enjoy much of anything else because I have no real life friends to hang out with and I never get to go anywhere by myself.

You are right that we delete phone numbers, emails, and last names when possible. We want to keep you all safe and make sure TeenConnect is a safe place for you.
We also don't want people to judge you, but to support you. I am sorry that you are not feeling well! I hope your week gets better. I would say do something that makes you happy. I know you love amusement parks and roller coasters. What about books? Like mysteries or something? They can have a lot of thrilling stuff in them. Just a thought.
Anyone else have any suggestions? I am sure we can brainstorm and think of something.

Thanks Joe, but I read 24/7 because I'm bored at school. Even though I'm 18, I can't go anywhere by myself so I just sit in my room after school by myself.

No problem, just trying to give you suggestions. I know you have mentioned that you don't have much in your area, if you did, would tell you to get out into the community.
I am sure you will find something if you look hard enough. You should talk to your parents and their friends to find out if they know anything around.
I wish I had more suggestions for you.
Hope you have a great weekend and most likely a long one!

I know I'm gonna have a fun weekend, because I'm supposed to go to Knott's on Sunday.

I can almost completely relate to what you are going through. I have no friends at school, live in a very rural area and I find myself thinking the same thing you do. I think you should try finding things to do, is there anyways you can volunteer anywhere to have something to do? I know for me, I'm a member of my county's Youth Court system, it's not in my town, but it's near by and I really enjoy it when I get to go there when I'm needed for the jury. Also, I agree with Joe S.'s suggestion about books, they are so nice to read and fun. Also music is a huge help to me as well, I even will blast my music so that it's so loud I can't really concentrate on my thoughts because all I hear is the music.
You could also try journaling, I know that helps me when I'm thinking life sucks, I write all of my feelings down and then I feel a little bit better after.
Also, you could try explaining how you feel to your family, maybe they can give you suggestions sense they are in your area and know it better than we do here.
I know with where I live, in my town, there are four stores, a movie House, a gas station, a travel Agency and a convenient store, so our public transporation system isn't very good, the regular bus only comes to my area once a day.
Does your area have a good public transportation system? Maybe you could try seeing if your parents will let you use public transportation to go places.
Those are all of the suggestions I can think of at the moment (it's 6:00am here) But if I can think of anymore I'll put them here.

I know what you're going through, because i used to know almost nothing about where i live lol. It really does suck knowing that entertainment could be so close to you, but yet so far. So the first thing you should do is to put yourself in seemingly impossible situations. Try to do things you never thought you could or would do, and don't think about what could happen, just do it. I know it sounds reckless, but once you succeed you will feel so much better about yourself and everything in genral. I know because i was just like you, and i hated the thought of even stepping out of the door; but one day, i just went outside and started listening. I heard all the cars passing, and i heard all the people and kids just enjoying life, and thats when i just stopped hating. It was amazing, and i only wish i could describe the feeling. Because of that day, i actually live my life now. Btw, if anyone ever tells you that you could never go out anywhere alone, show them you're back side and tell them to kiss it lol. Beeing under estimated really bugs me.

Moore2it is telling you to get out there and mix it up, and put yourself out there.
I know you have said that there is very little around you, but you should explore your locality by the web as well. Maybe there is more to locally then you thought.
* Ask others for ideas.
* Ask persons your age what is available in the area.
* Ask at school.
* Are there malls?
I know that I keep offering these types of ideas, but I keep hoping you will get out there. (I still have to try.)
Have a great day!

The reason I don't go anywhere is because everything is boring. I'd rather stay and do something fun.
