cataract surgery was moved, getting worse

hey everybody so my cataract surgery that was orginally planned for december 17th has now been moved to the wednesday before thanksgiving in november, the cataract is ontinuing to get wworse and my actual lens is swelling and pushing things in my eye forward, which is why by the end of the day my eye physically looks different like its sticking out more. i have now been put on drops to try and slow down the growing cataract because there rly trying to wait until i dont have school so i dont miss school. it hurts now which is why we went back to the doc even though i wasnt supposed to go back until the 23rd. and now i have to go back again in 2 weeks. ughh frustrating

that really sucks. that's originally what happened to me. the doctor said that the protines in my lens were leaking in 2 my eye. mine was originally planned 4 10-5-10 but it became an emergincy and it was done two weeks ago. have they done an ultrasound 2 check that ur retina is atached? mine is detaching again already. there's a definate large black spot growing in my vission. and the other eye has detatched as well. if things r as bad or worse 4 u as they were in my case drops will do about nothing. sry things r going this way.

I haven't had a surgery in my eyes since I was one. I'm so thankful I haven't lost vission since my last surgery.

losing vision sucks. i used 2 have enough sight that i could ride my bike around the block on sunny days... not anymore.

they thought about doing a unltrasound saturday when i went to the cataract doc but then he diceded not to, that that would be somthing the retina doc could do if he wants to when i go back on the 23rd. what do they do for unltrasounds on the eye? does it hurt?

no ultrasounds don't hurt. itfeels weird though. basically they put this tiny wand with a rounded end on your eyelid. they put the wand in this cold jelly first that feels really weird. if ur going 2 c a retinal sergin and u have a big ol' cataract they're going 2 have 2 do 1 2 make sure everythings ok. it's not painfull at all. have u just had the gass bubble put in or have u had the silicone oil as well? that's wat i've got.

i have a oil bubble in my eye right now, and there not sure if it might be leaking because theres been a hole in my retina for a long timenow but the retina surgeon doesnt want to fix it or redo the bubble anymore, only if my eye becomes in danger of having to be removed. he probably wont do an ultrasound though, they will probably just fix the cataract. but i dunno, next time i go, the 23rd is when we will actually talk about the surgery. have you had cataract surgery done before?

no, iv only hat 1 cataract and i had this huge combined thing that took 2 hours. the 1 in my left eye has a hole in it.
