Posted by Joe S on 10/29/2010 at 9:46 AMWe remove content that is inappropriate for a message board aimed at teens or minors. We try to remove inappropriate language. We also don't want teens giving out their personal info such as last name, email address, phone number, usernames on other sites, and such. Protection of minors as this is designed to allow you all to speak pretty freely. But, this is a message board from a private non-profit, so we have the right to remove material not suited, as you agree to in the terms and conditions.
We want this to be a safe place for you all to interact. We try our best to keep it that way. Thank you for understanding. We don't often remove users, it takes a lot. Most times persons are just having problems with their username or password. I hope this helps.

Re: um, what to say..
Posted by Erythrion on 10/29/2010 at 3:46 PMokay i don't mind things taken down. i was wondering because i was looking on other board and there were contents that were unseen here on this one. teens use those too. i am not insulting or disagreeing with you. i am not wanting to be unliked here by staff or users either. i am just wondering of the difference in polacies. oh also, does anybody know any middle eastern languages?
Re:um, what to say..
Posted by Joe S on 10/29/2010 at 4:19 PMYou are not insulting the staff. The difference is that this message board is associated with CareerConnect and also has a specific audience of teens. We can not control whether teens venture on to the other message boards. We try our best to provide a safe and spot.

Re:um, what to say..
Posted by Thrill Monster on 10/30/2010 at 9:55 PMCool. Do you use a cane or guide dog? I use a cane.
Re:um, what to say..
Posted by Joe S on 10/31/2010 at 9:07 AMI use a cane. I love my cane, as it is a great tool that allows me to travel safely, in combination with my orientation and mobility skills. (I taught O&M for over a year too.) I would say that over 90 percent of Orientation and mobility is mental or cognitive (thinking).
I am not saying that I will never choose to get a guide dog, I could see myself doing so and know a lot of persons who work for a number of those organization.
Have a great Sunday!
Sincerely,
Joe S.

Re:um, what to say..
Posted by Windows7. on 11/1/2010 at 2:52 PMI use a cane as well and I love using it. It lets me travel safely around the school campus and my O and M teacher says that I have really good O and M skills. So how is everyone doing today? I'm doing good just trying my hardest to catch up on school workk I've been really good on that, and going to class on time, and so forth. When I saw my report card I have straight ays and one C minus. I take Math, world History, Read 180, adaptive P.E. I do math for 2 periods and it sucks heck. Anyway, hope to talk to you guys soon. Have a good day.
