OK
I'm really sick of everything. Sick of school, sick of life, sick of everything. I just wish I could die.

Re:Sick of life
Posted by Joe S on 11/27/2010 at 5:25 PMPlease keep your heads up! Usually you are much more positive. Often holidays and winter can bring depression. I know you all have mentioned battling it prior. Make sure you express yourself to your parents and friends. Do not bottle up your feelings emotions.
I hope things turn around. There is so much to live for and enjoy. Life can be hard and really test us, but it is worth living and being a part of. The teen years can be harder and more trying, but I know you will make it through. I am sure there are things that you really enjoy. Such as roller coasters, internet, friends, family, animals, games, reading, and more. What are some of the other things you enjoy????
Sincerely,
Joe S.

Posted by Windows7. on 11/27/2010 at 6:17 PMHowcome roller coasters are getting less thrilling. Don't you like the speed, how scary it is?
Re:Sick of life
Posted by Thrill Monster on 11/27/2010 at 7:47 PMIt's not scary for me. I've never been scared on any ride. The coasters I rode in Florida didn't seem very intense because I'm used to Magic Mountain.
Re:Sick of life
Posted by Windows7. on 11/27/2010 at 8:05 PMThen go to magic mountain. How simple is that.

Posted by zumer7 on 11/28/2010 at 2:47 PMWhat makes school hard for you?
Re:Sick of life
Posted by Windows7. on 11/28/2010 at 5:11 PMNothing makes school hard for me, the only thing that makes me feel so stresed out, is math. Why? Because i've been taking algebra for one year here I am in tenth grade and I'm expected to finish a section per day. I seriously wish I was back in elimentry school, I know that sounds weird, but still. I hate high school to be honest with you. And let's say if I tkae a math section for homework, and my aid isn't there to help me, what the heck am I supposed to do? I could call or text her but I don't want to waste my minutes. Someone, please give me some advice on what i should do to get this stress off my sholders.
Thanks.

Re:Sick of life
Posted by Joe S on 12/1/2010 at 9:02 AMWindows 7,
Math can be tough for everyone, you add on a visual impairment, or very little vision and is multiplied. Math is a very visual concept based process and just becomes more complicated. There a few tools out there that can be helpful.
Do you have a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)? Are they itinerant (travel school to school) or based in a resource room in your school? Is this para-professional supposed to be in the math classroom with you? Is it written into your IEP?
There are a few useful tools to look into and more to explore. I would check out what APH (American Printing House) has to offer. Your school is alloted Federal Quota dollars that can be used with APH. They have tons of tools and resources for teaching different subjects, including Math. You can explore their website and call. Your TVI should be helping you with this. There is something called a Math Window which may not be from APH, but you can research it. It has tiles like scrabble, but with math symbols, numbers, and such. It allows you to tactually access the shape and set up of a math problem to build those concepts. This may not be an issue for you, but it is just one option. There are many out there. Are they providing your math in braille? I can't remember if you are a braille reader, feel like you are.
What is the biggest difficulty?
I have many friends who had to use tutors and readers for advanced math classes in college. College can mak e this even tougher because the books change so often and larger classrooms. But, there a lot of tricks and tips we can offer you.
Hope this helps or I can help.
Sincerely,
Joe S.

Anyone can add me to yahoo messenger, MSN, skype, Klango, or twitter if you want to. I think, Chriss, if you are who I think you are, that you already know me from Klango and Skype.
